  • Yes! This is one of my main goals as I work with families. I offer an expert lens when reviewing your child’s assessments and current performance, as well as conducting school observations. I am able to highlight areas of lagging skill, how these are impacting progress, and make recommendations for appropriate services and supports. I will cut through the jargon and provide you with a clear outline of the special education process to help you confidently advocate for your child.

  • For over 25 years, I have been involved in the word of special education - first as a family member, then as a professional. I empathize with your family’s challenges and understand how to work with school teams to develop appropriate and creative solutions to meet the unique needs of your child. As a board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) and special educator, I provide realistic and research-based recommendations and support the team in making data-based decisions.

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is the science of behavior. It focuses on understanding the circumstances under which behaviors occur to develop programming for behavior change. ABA can be used to reduce challenging behaviors, as well as increase desired behaviors, including skills related to social interactions, academics, self-care, community safety, and more. I use the principals of ABA when working with families and school teams and consistently utilize a trauma-informed, compassionate approach within my assessments and recommendations.

  • While I do not offer home-based ABA services at this time, I am happy to refer your family to ABA companies.
