A little about me…
I have been working in the special education field for over 20 years, as both an educator and BCBA. I have extensive knowledge of the special education process - including federal law and procedural safeguards. I am adept at conducting and interterpreting assessments, developing individualized education programs (IEPs), progress monitoring, and data-based decision making.
Throughout my career, I have helped other professionals understand each child’s unique educational needs, the “why” behind their behaviors, and what programming is needed for them to be successful.
At the age of 17, I became a sister two very special little boys who changed my life. They have taught me more than any textbook ever could. To this day, I continue to support and advocate for the needs of individuals in my own family. I understand first-hand what a difficult and all-consuming experience it can be.
I am dedicated to helping families navigate the special education process and to make informed decisions about their child’s education. I strive to give each family the specialized support they need, and to advocate for their child as I would my own.
